With its recorded outstanding success in providing financial services geared towards supporting the poor and low income earners within its area of operations, Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) had in times past engaged Coastline Microfinance Bank Limited as its financial partner to disburse substantial micro-credit empowerment funds to various self-help groups and co-operatives in selected communities.
NATIONAL POVERTY ERADICATION PROGRAM (NAPEP)
The National Poverty Eradication introduced and run by the Federal Government enlisted the services ofCoastline Microfinance Bank Limited as one of the Micro Finance Institutions (MFIs) to handle the on-lending scheme to co-operative societies and other grassroots individuals (beneficiaries).
DELTA STATE MICRO-CREDIT PROGRAM (DMCP)
The Delta State Government through the Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation Program introduced the Delta State Micro-credit Program (DMCP) to alleviate poverty in the State; Coastline Microfinance Bank Limited was engaged as one of the Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs) in charge of Warri North and Warri South-West Local Government Area respectively.
ITSEKIRI REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (IRDC)
The IRDC is an organization comprised of representatives from various oil and gas producing communities of Itsekiri ethnic extraction located within Chevron (company) areas of operation and by an MOU reached with the respective communities, an empowerment fund scheme was established to benefit indigenes of such communities. Coastline Microfinance Bank Limited was appointed as the Micro-credit Fund Managers.
DELTA STATE MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS MICRO-CREDIT SCHEME
Coastline Microfinance Bank Limited entered into financial partnership with the Delta State Ministry of Women Affairs and successfully obtained grant to provide micro-credit funds for 300 women in the Warri South and Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State respectively.
DELTA STATE GOVERNMENT SMALL BUSINESS LOANS GUARANTEE SCHEME
Delta State Government introduced a small and business loan guarantee scheme to benefit small and medium scale businesses (SMEs) in Delta State, to this end, Coastline Microfinance Bank Limited was appointed one of the Participating Financial Institutions in the Scheme.
DELTA STATE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES PEASANT FARMERS’ SUPPORT PROGRAM
The Delta State Ministry of Agriculture floated this empowerment scheme in October, 2008 which was geared towards increasing food production in the State and encourage farming. Coastline Microfinance Bank Limited was appointed as one of the Participating Financial Institutions to manage the Scheme.
